Idil is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to exploring all aspects of the nation’s visual heritage from various to contemporary times. Through a broad interdisciplinary approach, Idil provides an understanding not only of specific artists and art objects or languages, but also of the cultural factors that have shaped humanity. It traditionally covers various domains of arts and languages. The fine arts and languages as a tool of intercultural communication are the journal’s primary focus, but its scope encompasses all aspects of visual, written and verbal culture of nations, including popular culture, public art, film, electronic multimedia, literatures, and decorative arts. Articles to be sent to Idil Journal are expected to be original and to contribute to univeral science. Besides, the journal gives place to articles and interviews that introduce scientists, artists and publications. In order for an article to be published in Idil, it is necessary for it not to be published anywhere before or accepted to be published. Papers that have been presented in a symposium or conference before but have not been published and studies produced from postgraduate thesis are also welcomed. Idil is published 12 times a year:
