Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to idil are screened for similarity with iThenticate before review. The similarity score is not a decision in itself: the editor reads the report and checks whether quotations and references are used properly.

Using another person’s text, ideas, data or images without acknowledging the source, and reusing one’s own published work without saying so, are plagiarism. A submission found to contain plagiarism is declined, and the author is told why. If plagiarism is found after publication, the correction and retraction policy on the Research and Publication Ethics page applies.
