Erté ve Tasarımlarının 20. Yüzyıl Kadın Modası ve Art Deco Akımının Ortaya Çıkışına Etkileri
Bu makalenin amacı, Rus kökenli Fransız sanatçı Erté (Romain de Tirtoff)’un, kültürel kökeni, yetenekleri ve sanat üslubunun 20. Yüzyılın başında ortaya çıkan bir endüstriyel tasarım ve sanat akımı olan Art Deco akımının görsel dilinin oluşumu ve aynı dönemdeki kadın modasındaki değişimi üzerindeki etkileri incelemektir. Sanatçının, 20 yüzyıl kadın modasındaki ve Art Deco akımının görsel dilinin oluşması üzerindeki öncü ve yaratıcı rolü, moda illüstrasyonları ve Paris ve ABD’deki sahne sanatları eserleri için yaptığı, dekor ve kostüm tasarımları üzerinden ele alınacaktır.
Abstract
The aim of this article is to investigate the contributions of cultural background, talent and artistic style of Russian born French artist Erté (Romain de Tirtoff) on the changes on women’s fashion at the beginning of the 20th century Europe and the emergence of Art Deco industrial design and art movement. The contribution and pioneering role of the creativity of the artist on the 20th century women’s fashion and visual language of Art Deco movement are examined, on his fashion illustrations and set and costume designs for theatres, revues in Paris and USA.
