Keskin ve Çözümlenmemiş Bir Diyalektik: Marilyn Diptyich

Pop art, sanat tarihine damgasını vurmuş tüm sanat akımları gibi, kısmen statükoya karşı bir tepki olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Pop art akımının tüm dünyada egemen olmasının başlıca aktörü şüphesiz ki Andy Warhol’dur. 59 yıllık hayat serüvenine pek çok marjinal tavır sığdıran Warhol, tüketim kültürünün metalarını, ikon haline gelmiş şöhret simalarını ve egemen siyasetin simge isimlerini sanatın malzemesi yapmaktan asla çekinmeyecek kadar cesur ve kararlı bir çizgiye sahiptir. Andy Warhol, 1950’lerin kült film yıldızı ve seks sembolü Marilyn Monroe’ya saplantılı denilebilecek bir derecede hayrandır. “Marilyn Diptich” 1962 yılında aşırı dozda uyuşturucudan yaşama veda eden Marylin Monroe’nun ölümünden hemen sonra, Andy Warhol tarafından yapılmış 23 farklı baskı çalışmasından biridir. Marilyn Monroe’nun 1953 yapımlı “Niagara” adlı filminde Gene Korman tarafından çekildiği düşünülen 50 portre imajının kullanıldığı resim, sanat eleştirmenlerini oldukça meşgul etmiş, Warhol’un çalışmaya yönelik kaygılarını tespit etme anlamında, farklı bakış açılarının ortaya çıkmasına kaynak teşkil etmiştir.

Abstract

Pop art has emerged as a reaction to the status quo, in part, like all the art movements that have left its mark on art history. There is no doubt that Andy Warhol is the main actor of the dominance of the pop art movement all over the world. Having taken many marginal attitudes to his 59-year life adventure, Warhol had a bold and determined line that would never hesitate to make materials of art the material names of commodities, iconic fame and the names of sovereign politics. Andy Warhol admired to a degree as obsessive to Marilyn Monroe as the cult movie star and sex symbol of the 1950s. Id Marilyn Diptich was one of 20 different print works by Andy Warhol immediately after the death of Marylin Monroe, who died of an overdose of drugs in 1962. In the 1953 film ar Niagara farklı by Marilyn Monroe, the image used by 50 portrait images taken by Gene Korman was heavily engaged by art critics, and was the source of different perspectives in terms of identifying Warhol's concerns about work.
