The Common Aspects of the Paintings With Wedding Themes in Turkish Painting

İnsanoğlu var olmasından buyana kendini ifade etme biçimi olarak farklı iletişim yöntemleri geliştirmiş ve kullanmıştır; konuşma, yazı, resim gibi pek çok yöntem sıralamak mümkündür. Toplumlar geliştikçe bu iletişim yöntemleri bir araç olmaktan çıkmış, bir amaca dönüşmüştür: kişi- nin kendini ifade etmesinin yanı sıra kendisini gerçekleştirmesi yolunda bir amaca yönelmiştir. Sanat bu amaç için sıklıkla başvurulan alanlardan birisi olmuştur. Resim sanatı da bu eğilimlerin ilk baş gösterdiği sanat alanlarından birisidir. Tüm diğer toplumlarda olduğu gibi Türk toplu- munda da sanatçı, resim aracılığıyla kendi sözünü kültüründen ve dönemin koşullarından ed- indiği veriler ile yoğurmuş, bir konu ya da imge çevresinde somutlaştırmıştır. Bu yazıda Türk resim sanatında varolan “düğün” konulu resimlerin saptamasından çok bu resimlerin plastik ve anlam düzeyinde birleştiği ortak noktaları ve ayrışma gösterdikleri değişim süreçleri incelenmek- tedir. Böylece kültürel dokudan resim sanatının hangi düzeyde beslendiğini belirleyerek ortak bir anlatım biçeminin varlığı sorgulanmaktadır. Ayrıca toplumumuzdaki “düğün” kavramının zaman içerisindeki kültürel anlamdaki değişimlerinin Resim sanatındaki “düğün” imgesine yansımaları belirlenecektir.
Abstract
Mankind have developed and used di erent communication methods as a way of expressing oneself since they began to exist; it is possible to list many methods such as speech, writing, picture etc. As communities have developed these communication methods began to be regarded as ends rather than means: they tended towards realizing oneself in addition to expressing oneself and art has become one of the areas to which people refer to with this aim. Painting is one of the elds in which such trends rst emerged. As in all other communities, the artist has blended his own idea with the information he acquired from his own culture and from the circumstances of the period in which he lived and concretized his interpretation based on a subject.
This article studies the di erences and the common points of the paintings as regards meaning and plasticity. Therefore, the article questions the existence of a common style having determined how art of painting bene t from the cultural texture. Besides, the concept of wedding has experienced cultural changes over time in our community. The re ections of those changes in wedding concept on the im- age of wedding in the art of painting are determined.
