A Study on the Industry of Onyx Stone in Kırsehir

Kırşehir İli Oniks Taşı İşlemeciliği Üzerine Bir Araştırma
Bu çalışmada Kırşehir ili oniks taşı işlemeciliğinin yeri ve önemi, günümüzdeki durumu ve yapılan ürünlerin araştırması amaçlanmıştır. Oniks taşının elde edilmesi, oniks taşı işlemeciliğinde kullanılan araç ve gereçler, teknik, yapım aşamaları, ürün çeşitleri, ürünlerin yapımında kullanılan teknik ve renk özellikleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmada Kırşehir ilinde oniks taşı işlemeciliğiyle uğraşan bireyler ile oniks taşı işleme ve sergi atölyeleri araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Araştırma ile ilgili bilgiler tarama yöntemi ile yazılı kaynaklardan, bu işle uğraşan kişilerden toplanmıştır. Bu araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Kırşehir ilindeki oniks taşı üreticileri ve belirli sayıdaki oniks taşı ürünleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 100 oniks taşı ürünü ve 25 oniks taşı işlemeciliği ile uğraşan bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca 100 oniks taşı ürününün ayrı ayrı fotoğrafı çekilip hazırlanan bilgi formuna göre doldurulmuştur. Elde edilen verilerin analizi yapılmıştır. Ürünler çeşit, renk, teknik, kompozisyon ve kullanım yeri açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre Türkiye’nin birçok iline oniks taşı ürünlerin gönderildiği belirlenmiştir. Yöre için önemli fakat kısıtlı alanda bir gelir kaynağı oluşturmaktadır. Bugün oniks taşından genellikle biblolar, hediyelik eşyalar, aksesuarlar, ev eşyası, hobi ürünleri yapılmaktadır. Sınırlı sayıda atölye olmasına rağmen Türkiye’nin birçok iline çok sayıda hediyelik eşya gönderilmekte, dış pazarlara satışı yapılmaktadır. Bunun dışında gurbetçiler aracılığı ile yurtdışına dahi gönderilen oniks taşı ürünleri mevcuttur.

Abstract
In the study, the place and importance of onyx stone industry in Kırsehir, the current situation and the research of the products that are done have been aimed. Being obtained onyx stone, the tools and materials that are used in the industry of onyx stone, technique, construction periods, the ranges of products, the technique and colour features that are used in manufacturing of the products have been studied. In the concept of the study has been included the people that labour in the industry of onyx stone and onyx stone dressing and exhibition workplaces. The knowledge about the study has been gathered from the written sources through scanning method, the people the labour in this industry, master the subject and know the history of the industry. The scope of this study consists of the onxy stone producers in Kırşehir and the certain onyx stone products. The research sample involves 100 onyx stone products and 25 people who labour in the industry of onyx stone. 100 onyx stone products were taken photos and filled in with regard to the prepared information form. The analaysis of the date that were acquired has been done. The products have been analyzed in terms of range, colour, technique, composition and place of use. According to the findings being acquired, it is stated that onyx stone products are sent to several cities in Turkey. It generates important but limited source of income for the region. Today, the trinkets, souvenirs, accessories, household goods, hooby products are made of onyx stone.
