Kentsel Göstergelere Yaklaşım Bağlamında Çağdaş Fotoğraf Sanatı
Kent peyzajlarının barındırdığı göstergeler, insanoğlunun tarih boyunca yaşadığı zihinsel ve kültürel gelişimi yansıtmıştır. İnsanların “toplum” olarak kentli yaşama geçmesine ön ayak olan burjuva sınıfı, bu düşüncenin görsel olarak şekillenmesine destek olmuştur. Bu destek kendini iki yönde gösterir; birincisi bu görsel kültür kodlarının oluşmasına yol açan düşünce yapısı, ikincisi ise bu görsel kaydı mümkün kılan plastik biçimlerin geliştirilmesi. Plastik sanatlar alanında ele alınan her örnekte kent anlayışının zaman içinde nasıl geliştiğini görmek mümkündür.
Bugün bir çağdaş sanat çerçevesinde ele alınan fotoğraf sanatı, manzarayı, anlatmaya çalıştığı hikaye ve temanın arka planı olarak ele almaktadır. Bu yöntem anlatılmakta olan hikayenin arka planını, hem entelektüel hem de görsel yönden tamamlamaktadır. Bugünün dünyasını, hem entelektüel hem de görsel yönden en doğru biçimde kayıt etmenin yolu -fotoğraf tarihinde de görüldüğü üzere- kültürel ve sanatsal biçimde hikayenin arka planı ile işbirliği halinde bulunmaktır. Bu şekilde, sanatçı mesajını daha vurucu hale getirmek kaygısı ile izleyicisini eserin hikayesinin oluşumuna davet eder.
Sanat eserlerinin içinde kentsel göstergelerin yer alması hayati derecede önem taşır. Çünkü bu göstergeler aynı zamanda bu hikayenin mekanı, öznesi, sosyal durumu ile tarihsel süreci ve dolayısıyla hikayesi konusunda izleyenin daha hızlı ve doğru bilgilenmesini mümkün kılar.

Abstract
The symbols that landscape art contains, shows us cultural and intellectual evolution of the humankind. The “Bourgeoisie”, as the initiator of the “Urbanization” also supports the thoughts, which made this evolution possible. This impulse shows itself in two different ways; first, the frame of mind, which made visual codes possible to come into reality. Second, developing the medium, which made this visual codes record possible. It is possible to see the developing of the thought urbanization in every example of fine arts, in every age. Today, the art of photography uses landscape as background of its main theme as well as its major story, by the means of contemporary studies. These practices constitute the background of the main theme, both intellectual and visual way. Most accurate way to record today’s world, both intellectual and visual way -as can be seen in the history of photography- is to associate the story and its background, by the means of cultural and artistic studies. Whereby, the artist invites viewer into the narrative by this way and increases the chance to give message in a more striking manner. Existence of the urban symbols in the artwork is vital because it makes possible to learn more about the place, subject, society and period of the story and eventually about the main theme.
