Photography as a Medium That Produces Meaning in Art Within the Framework of Painting-Photography Dialogue

Resim-Fotoğraf Diyaloğu Çerçevesinde Sanatta Anlam Üreten Bir Medyum Olarak Fotoğraf
İnsan var olduğu günden beri içinde bulunduğu dünyayı anlama, onunla farklı şekillerde bağ kurma çabası içerisinde olmuştur. Bu bağ kurma yollarından biri de sanattır. Zaman, mekân ve koşullarla şekillenen sanat, dönemin sosyal ve teknolojik yapısı doğrultusunda biçimlenir. Sosyal yapı; sanatın içeriğini belirlerken teknolojik gelişmeler yapıtın nesnel varlığının şekillenmesinde belirleyici olur. Bu bağlamda, yapıtın inşasındaki teknik yetkinlik, dönemin teknolojisiyle yakından ilişkilidir. Teknoloji; insan hayatını kolaylaştıran, sunduğu sonsuz olanaklarla sanatın anlatı dilini zenginleştiren yaşama dair önemli bir gerçekliktir. Sanatsal üretim sürecinin temel belirleyenleri arasında yer alan bu unsur, ortaya çıkan yapıtın niteliğini de belirler. İnsanlığın ilk sanatsal üretimleri ile günümüzde yapılan çalışmalar arasında önemli bir yol kat edilmiştir. Örneğin erken dönem resim tekniklerinde boyar madde yapımında yumurta sarısı kullanımı gibi primitif yöntemler kullanılırken bugün gelinen süreçte veri tabanına binlerce imaj yüklenen cebirsel algoritmalarla yapay zekâ ürünü sanatsal çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Teknolojide kat edilen mesafe izleyicinin yapıtla kurduğu diyalogu da etkilemiştir. Önceleri pasif bir alımlayıcı pozisyonunda konumlanan izleyici artık interaktif bir katılımcı olarak yapıtın tamamlanmasında aktif bir şekilde rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada sanatın evriminde resim fotoğraf diyaloğu çerçevesinde anlam üreten bir medyum olarak fotoğrafın işlevi sorgulanmıştır. Sanatta anlam üretim biçimleri irdelenirken teknik farklılıkların yapıtın kurulumuna etkisi vurgulanmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemiyle toplanan verilerle karşılaştırmalı değerlendirmelere gidilmiştir.

Abstract
Human beings have been in an effort to understand the world they live in and to connect with it in different ways since the day they existed. One of these ways of bonding is art. Art, which is shaped by time, space and conditions, is shaped in line with the social and technological structure of the period. Social structure; While determining the content of art, technological developments are decisive in shaping the objective existence of the work. In this context, the technical competence in the construction of the work is closely related to the technology of the period. Technology; It is an important reality about life that facilitates human life and enriches the narrative language of art with the endless possibilities it offers. This element, which is among the main determinants of the artistic production process, also determines the quality of the resulting work. An important way has been covered between the first artistic productions of humanity and the works done today. For example, while primitive methods such as the use of egg yolk in the production of dyestuffs were used in early painting techniques, today’s artistic Works are carried out using algebraic algorithms that upload thousands of images to the database. The distance covered in technology has also affected the audience’s dialogue with the work. The viewer, who was previously positioned as a passive receiver, now plays an active role in the completion of the work as an interactive participant. In this study, the function of photography as a medium that produces meaning within the framework of the Picture-photo dialogue in the evolution of art has been questioned. While examining the forms of meaning production in art, the effect of technical differences on the work is emphasized. In the study, comparative evaluations were made with the data collected by qualitative research method.
