A Study on Individual Instrument Motivation Levels of Undergraduate Students of Conservatory Music Department

Konservatuvar Müzik Bölümü Lisans Öğrencilerinin Bireysel Çalgı Güdülenme Düzeyleri Üzerine Bir Araştırma
Güdülenme düzeyleri; konservatuvar müzik bölümü öğrencilerinin davranış, tutum ve performansını etkileyen önemli bir unsurdur. Araştırmanın amacı; konservatuvar müzik bölümünde okuyan lisans öğrencilerinin bireysel çalgılarına yönelik güdülenme düzeylerinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda konservatuvar müzik bölümünde okuyan lisans öğrencilerinin; “Bireysel Çalgı Eğitimi Dersine İlişkin Güdülenme Düzeyleri” (ilgi, eğitim ortamı, çevre ve mesleki beklentileri alt boyutlarına göre) ölçek yardımıyla belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Konservatuvar müzik bölümü öğrencilerinin davranış, tutum ve performansını etkileyen önemli bir etken olan bireysel çalgı dersine ilişkin güdülenme düzeylerinin cinsiyet, okul türü ve sınıf düzeyine göre istatiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı, öğrencilerin anne ve baba eğitim durumlarına göre güdülenme düzeylerinin farklılaşmadığı ve yaş ortalaması arttıkça öğrencilerin güdülenme düzeylerinin düştüğü tespit edilmiştir. Bu durum öğrencilerin alt sınıflarda ve daha küçük yaş gruplarında sahip olunan güdülenme düzeyinin zamanla düştüğünü göstermektedir. Öğrencilerin güdülenme düzeylerinin düşmesine neden olan faktörlerin belirlenmesi, öğrencilerin daha yakından tanınması ve güdülenme gereklerinin desteklenmesi gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle araştırma bulgularının konservatuvar müzik bölümünde okuyan lisans öğrencilerinin güdülenme düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ve güdülenme düzeylerinin artırılması yönünde yapılacak etkinlikler açısından önemli olduğu ve çalışmanın alan yazına spesifik bir bakış açısı getireceği düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
Motivation levels are an important factor affecting the behavior, attitude and performance of conservatory music department students. The aim of the research is to determine the level of motivation for the individual instruments of undergraduate students studying in the conservatory music department. For this purpose, in the music department of the Conservatory of studying students ' levels of motivation for the individual instrument training course determined with the help of scale. The scale includes sub-dimensions of interest, educational environment, Environment and professional expectations. Students in the music department of the Conservatory of behavior, attitudes and performance, which is an important factor affecting the level of motivation an individual instrument lessons for gender, school type and grade level differed at a statistically significant level; the level of motivation of students according to educational status of the father and the mother did not change, and age groups as it increases the level of motivation of students has been found to fall. This indicates that the level of motivation that students have in lower grades and younger age groups decreases over time. For the specified reason, it is necessary to determine the factors that cause the level of motivation of students to decrease, to recognize the students more closely and to support the requirements of motivation. For this reason, it is thought that the research findings are important in terms of activities to be carried out to determine the level of motivation of undergraduate students studying in the conservatory music department and to increase the level of motivation, and that the study will bring a specific perspective to the literature.
