Çağdaş Türk Resim Sanatında Maide Arel
Öz
Türkiye'de resim sanatının ilerleme ve gelişim sürecine bakıldığında; Cumhuriyet Dönemi ile birlikte oldukça büyük bir ivme kazandığı görülmekte, Cumhuriyet’in ilk yıllarında ise Avrupa'dan sanat eğitimi almış olarak dönen sanatçıların, yurda getirdiği modern sanat bilgisi ve uygulamaları ile oldukça değiştiği ve geliştiği fark edilmektedir. Türk sanatçıların Avrupa’da edindikleri deneyimlerle Türkiye’de öncülük ettikleri modern üsluplar; bazı sanatçılar tarafından Türk folklorunun öğeleriyle harmanlanarak beslenmiş ve Türk Resim Sanatı’nın modern üslubunun temellerini oluşturan yeni ifade biçimleri ile yorumlanmıştır. Tarama modeli kullanılarak hazırlanan bu çalışmanın amacı; yeni yorum biçimleriyle gelişmekte olan Çağdaş Türk Sanatı’nın oluşum sürecine büyük katkılar sağlayan sanatçı Maide Arel'in sanatsal gelişimini irdelemek ve eserlerini üslupsal özellikleri yönüyle yorumlamaktadır. 1907-1997 yılları arasında yaşamış olan sanatçı, figüre bağımlılığı ve gelenekseli modernize eden üslubuyla, öne çıkan isimlerdendir. 1930 yılında mezun olduğu Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi’ne devam ettiği zamanlarda Nazmi Ziya Güran, Hikmet Onat ve Mehmet Ruhi Arel'den resim dersleri almıştır. Eşi Şemsi Arel ile Paris'e gittiği dönemde Andre Lhote, Fernand Leger ve Jean Metzinger'in atölyelerinde kendini geliştirmiştir. Arel’in eserlerinde hocalarının üsluplarından etkiler de barındıran, geometrik mekan kurguları içerisinde desenlenmiş, soyutlanan figüratif ögeler yansıtan özgün yorumlar dikkat çekmektedir. 1930'lu yıllardan itibaren, sanat dünyasının içerisinde aktif bir rol alan Maide Arel'in, olgunluk dönemindeki üslubunu yansıtan eserlerin bir kısmının tarihine ulaşılamamakla birlikte, Anadolu kültürünü ustalıkla kişiselleştirdiği satıh etkisindeki boyamaları ve biçimleri çevreleyen kontur çizgileri, eserlerinde yarattığı betimsel özelliklerle çağdaşlarına kıyasla farklılık yaratmaktadır.

Abstract
Maide Arel in Contemporary Turkish Painting
When we look at the progress and development of art in Turkey, it can be seen that it gains momentum quite great along with the Republican period, and in the early years of the Republic, it's noticable that the artists who completed their education of modern arts in Europe, changed and improved it by the modern art knowledge and pratics which they brought to the country.. Modern styles pioneered in Turkey by Turkish artists through their experiences in Europe; it has been blended with elements of Turkish folklore and interpreted with new forms of expression that form the foundations of the modern style of Turkish painting. The aim of this study which was prepared by using scanning model; is to examine the artistic development of Maide Arel, the artist who has made great contributions to the formation process of contemporary Turkish Art which is developing with new forms of interpretation, and to interpret her works in the direction of stylistic features.. The artist, who lived between 1907 and 1997, is mostly known by his dependence on the figure and his style which modernizes the traditional. She attended the Academy of Fine Arts where she graduated in 1930 and took painting lessons from Nazmi Ziya Güran, Hikmet Onat and Mehmet Ruhi Arel. He developed himself in the workshops of Andre Lhote, Fernand Leger and Jean Metzinger when he went to Paris with her husband Şemsi Arel. Arel's works also contain influences from the styles of his teachers, and she attracts attantion with the original interpretations that reflect figurative elements which are patterned and abstracted within the geometrical space fictions Although the date of of some of the works reflecting the style of Maide Arel, who has taken an active role in the art world since the 1930s, is not reached, the contour lines surrounding the surface- influenced paintings and forms, which she has expertly personalized Anatolian culture, make a difference compared to his contemporaries with the descriptive features she created in her works.
