GÖÇ KİMLİK AİDİYET EKSENİNDE NİL YALTER

Göç olgusu tarih boyunca pek çok nedenle ortaya çıkmıştır ve toplumların yer değiştirmesini tanımlamanın ötesinde öznelerin kimlik ve aidiyetleri üzerinde yarattığı etki ile anılır olmuştur. Modernizmin en önemli sosyolojik olgularından birisi olan göç, sanat alanını da derinden etkilemiştir. Sosyologlar bilimsel açıdan göçü incelerken, sanatçılar ise özellikle post-modern dönemde göçün nedenlerine, yaşanan süreçlere ve sonuçlarına dikkat çekmek için pek çok sanatsal ürün ortaya koymuştur. 20. ve 21. yüzyılda insan ve toplumla ilgili önemli işlere imzasını atan Nil Yalter göç, kimlik, aidiyet temalarına sanatsal üretimleriyle dikkat çekmiş sanatçılardandır. Sanatçı resim, performans, enstalasyon, video ve fotoğraf çalışmalarıyla hem ulusal hem uluslararası platformlarda eserleriyle yer almış, dünya genelinde önemli sanat kurumlarında izleyiciyle buluşmuştur. Bu çalışmada Nil Yalter’in evrensel bir bakış açısıyla, odağına insanı koyduğu, göçmenler ve kimlik konulu çalışmaları ele alınmıştır. Öncelikle göç, kimlik ve aidiyet kavramları genel anlamlarıyla kısaca açıklanmış, bu kavramları konu edinen bazı Türk sanatçılara değinilmiş ve daha sonra Yalter’in resim, performans, enstalasyon, video ve fotoğraf gibi farklı medyalarla ortaya çıkardığı eserlerinden seçilen örneklerle, sanatçının bu toplumsal konulara yaklaşımı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır.\n\nAnahtar Kelimeler: Nil Yalter, çağdaş sanat, göç, kimlik, aidiyet\n

The phenomenon of migration has arisen for many reasons throughout history and has become known for its impact on the identity and belonging of subjects beyond defining the displacement of societies. Migration, which is one of the most important sociological phenomena of modernism, has deeply affected the field of art. While sociologists scientifically examine migration, artists have created many artistic products to draw attention to the causes, processes and consequences of migration, especially in the post-modern period. Nil Yalter, who has made important works related to human and society in the 20th and 21st centuries, is one of the artists who drew attention to the themes of migration, identity and belonging with her artistic productions. The artist has taken place in both national and international platforms with her painting, performance, installation, video and photography works, and met with the audience in important art institutions around the world. In this study, Nil Yalter's work on immigrants and identity, which focuses on people from a universal perspective, is discussed. First of all, the concepts of immigration, identity and belonging are briefly explained in general and some Turkish artists who worked on these subjects are mentioned. Then the artist's approach to these social issues tried to be shown with examples chosen from Yalter's works which she created with various mediums such as painting, performance, installation, video and photography.\n\nKeywords: Nil Yalter, contemporary art, immigration, identity, belonging\n
