The art of Seljuk ceramics took its origins from the Chinese and Proto Turkic tribes and combined them with their own cultural and social structures and created their own art. Animal symbols are frequently found in Turkish culture both politically, socially and economically. Animal symbols, which also occupy an important place in the Seljuks, are often used as ornaments in Seljuk ceramics.
