1746273171 PIANO EDUCATION WITH A HOLISTIC EDUCATION APPROACH; CONTENT ANALYSIS BASED ON EXPERT OPINIONS ON THE BEGINNER LEVEL

This research was carried out in the field of non-formal and amateur education and training in order to examine the effects of the holistic education approach on the introductory period of piano education of elementary and middle school age students. The problem of this research is the content of the piano course program in private educational institutions within the scope of non-formal education, its suitability for individual differences and the question of how it supports lifelong learning. In this context, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 pianists who are experts in their fields, state artists and academicians. Using a semi-structured question technique based on the qualitative research method, open-ended questions were directed to the experts and content analysis was conducted. As a result, the findings suggest that the beginning level of piano education should be approached through a holistic education perspective, and rather than adhering to a fixed program. A creative and flexible understanding should be adopted according to the student's physical, mental, social, and emotional processes. In the content analysis based on the expert opinions, it has been found that family support, variety of resources adapted to individual needs, anatomically and ergonomically customized technique, emphasis on being able to hear the music internally before starting to read, inclusion of the student's own preferences and creativity in the process, and a bond based on effective communication with the student are decisive in the formation of a healthy education and training process based on sustainable and solid foundations.
