Throughout human history, it is observed that the subjects and materials preferred by artists in their works have also evolved and developed in accordance with the cultural, economic, and technological developments occurring in social life. The rapid change and transformation experienced in every field today have deeply influenced the artist, and this influence has been reflected in the materials and techniques used in the artist's works in line with their desire for renewal and innovation, becoming an important factor in creating diverse forms of expression as significant as the subject of the painting. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the artist Hasan Rastgeldi's 'Göbeklitepe'-themed paintings aesthetically by examining the technique he has developed and enriched over sixty years of experience, the variety of materials he uses, and the multilayered textures he creates on the surface. Researching and conveying the elements of Göbeklitepe, which holds an important place within the rich cultural values of the Anatolian lands where Hasan Rastgeldi lives with artistic awareness, in a contemporary language, along with his style, technique, and materials used, constitutes the significance and value of this study. In this study, a qualitative research method was implemented. Data were collected through an interview and observation of Hasan Rastgeldi himself. The research included a literature assessment on the changes in materials used in painting throughout art history, as well as the development of a conceptual framework. In the following stage, the 'Göbeklitepe' associated artworks of Hasan Rastgeldi, who has been both an art instructor and a prolific artist for many years, were studied, and all of the data gathered was processed in order to reach a conclusion.
