Propaganda has been used to convey many different messages from past to present, to persuade or to affect the emotional state of the target person. The aim of propaganda is to spread or change an idea. Illustration, a sub-branch of graphic design, is frequently used as a method in propaganda studies. Semiology, on the other hand, offers a systematic research opportunity on how these illustrations used can be interpreted by people. The use of illustration in propaganda studies plays an important role in conveying the message to the receiver in a clear and understandable way. Illustration is a tool for expressing an idea, event or story that is intended to be told in a pictorial way. In this study, the codes and symbols used in Daniel Garcia's political illustrations are analyzed with the semiotic analysis method and the meanings of the codes are analyzed and the indicators used are aimed to be clarified.
