In this article; Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's life, the social, economic, cultural changes and transformations of the period that matured him during his life, the effect of the understanding of art and changes in his country and the world on his art during the period he lived, and the understanding of art and works of Jackson Pollock, who lived in the same period and was affected by the artistic transformation of the period, were read through and the artistic similarities of both artists were evaluated through selected paintings. While examining Eyüboğlu’s artistic life and his perspective on art and artists, the artistic environment of the artist’s time, the books he wrote, articles and research written about him were taken into consideration. The political and economic difficulties of the artist’s time, the socio-cultural changes in the country, as well as the painters of the period, had a negative impact on his artistic life. The innovations in art education in the years when the artist started his artistic life, the material shortages, and the difficulties in accessing artistic developments in the world also made it difficult to update his perspective on art in his country. What Eyüboğlu saw in Paris and the USA, where he went for his art education, gave him the chance to compare the art environment in his country with the art environment in the world. The painters, works, materials and techniques he saw during his art education developed the artist’s perspective on art, artwork, materials and techniques. In this study, it can be said that Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, who is remembered for his more traditional and ornamental style, actually pursued a process parallel to his contemporaries in the West, and especially in Turkish Painting, he stood out with his experimental, original and abstract expressions in terms of material, technique and style. In this context; some of Eyüboğlu's works were examined through the works of American Artist Jackson Pollock, and similarities were identified between the works of both artists. While identifying these similarities, structures such as material, technique, color, subject, pattern were examined on the selected works, and the findings were evaluated in the context of contemporary art.
