This study analyzes the historical and socio-cultural dimensions of Istanbul's rural culture, focusing on its impact on the social, cultural, and economic lives of Istanbul residents. The term 'Sayfiye' not only refers to a physical location, but also represents a way of life, a symbol of social status, and a cultural phenomenon. The research analyzes the evolution of this culture from the Ottoman Empire to the Republican period, as well as its interaction with social classes, economic opportunities, and cultural practices. The language has been made more objective and formal, and unnecessary words have been removed. No changes have been made to the content. It highlights the prevalence of this culture throughout Istanbul and its significance as an integral part of social life. The study focuses on the impact of the sayfiye phenomenon on individuals' social lives and cultural identities. The paper explores the relationship between tourism and countryside culture, as well as the terminology associated with this phenomenon in Istanbul. This examination explores the relationship between countryside culture and social status in Istanbul, including differences in access to these spaces among various social groups and their impact on economic and cultural life. The text explains how sayfiye life functions as a place of escape, rest, and renewal for individuals and how this culture is deeply embedded in the social and cultural fabric of the city.
