One of the most important structures that makes us feel the spirit of Turkish music is undoubtedly instrumental music. In this sense, instrumentalists who transmit our musical culture to us have an important place in the field of Turkish music performance. Aka Gündüz Kutbay was one of the most important ney players of his time who passed on the ney to the next generations with his own interpretation and technique. The fact that Aka Gündüz Kutbay was one of the first to perform the ney instrument in World Music albums with his different artistic works has been one of the prominent elements that put him in a different position from other neyzen today. In this way, Kutbay, who revealed a different performance style with his blowing technique and the tone he extracted from the ney, set an example for future generations with his unique performance. The main purpose of this study is to contribute to the development of Turkish Music interpretation with the performance of Aka Gündüz. In this study, we will discuss a meşk recording found on YouTube. In the recording in question, Aka Gündüz Kutbay and Cinuçen Tanrıkorur, a valuable udi and musician who has participated in valuable works with him over the years, and Sadi Işılay's Muhayyer Kürdi Saz Semaisi are analyzed. Aka Gündüz Kutbay's blowing technique, ornaments, chromatic ornaments and multiplications constitute the analysis phase of the study. In addition, this study is presented in two portfolios; the score of the piece and the transcription of Aka Gündüz Kutbay's performance. In this way, the differences in performance, which can also be seen as an output of the analysis, were intended to be revealed more clearly.
