Color is a beautiful gift that nature brings to art and even to life as a resource and guide. Since the Chalcolithic times, humanity has considered color not as a concept, but as a tool for communication. Digital media or even for printed publications, the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to graphic design is the color that requires extensive knowledge. Because color is considered an indispensable part of a design due to ink in printed publications and light in digital media. The color that is included in every design is a comprehensive and highly versatile element for designs and designers. The graphic designer must be familiar with the new colors and tones obtained by mixing more than one color, the meanings have given to the colors, the symbols they express universally and the functions they fulfill in the field of design. Because the color is the graphic element that the designer applies to achieve effective and successful results in many areas such as logos, banners, web design, advertising, brochures, packaging and color can transmit more than one message. In this study, sensitive points about color, from the history of color to its formation, from the color wheel to the color palettes that can be used together in design, from the meaning of colors to their functions, are explained by associating them with examples. The aim of the study is to provide a guide for students and recent graduates, and a resource for professionals and enthusiasts. In conclusion, it has been concluded that, with rich functionality and almost limitless variety of color, it has been concluded that if used correctly, it can revive designs such as the dynamism it brings to life and increase interaction.
