The visual expression language starting with the image, starts from cave walls and comes up to today's digital age and takes place in our lives as one of the means of communication in every field. Although image is frequently used in the field of art, it mostly shows itself in fields such as literature, poetry and visual arts. With the development of communication technologies, the possibilities it offers facilitates the circulation of the image. Hence the image has had a very important impact on the socio-economic and cultural structure. As a result of the visual experience taking place more in the centre of daily life, the image is produced quickly, is spread and consumed. In our age dominated by visuality, many and different images in the forms constantly tell us something and try to direct us. It is getting harder and harder to understand these images. First of all, we need to understand visual literacy well to make sense of images and interpret them. Thus, the visual images should be evaluated within the context of economy, culture and politics in which they are and we must be able to interpret them with their meanings. In this context, the purpose of the research is to comprehend and interpret the images we come across, then to develop visual perception and visual to capture a critical perspective by examining their connection with literacy concepts.
