The individual’s authentic world is encircled with mind and imagination. Sometimes we want to transfer this unique world out of our minds through our dreams, thoughts and desires. However, there are some realities that we accept in our daily lives, and our very close stance to these realities may make it difficult to export thoughts. As a result, we begin to alternate between accepted realities and thoughts. Surrealism within this betweenness intends to free itself from constants and acceptances, tries to unearth the emotions left behind by turning to dreams, thoughts and desires. In the footsteps of these ideas, this article aims to re-read architecture, which is sometimes read through definite definitions and assumptions, through the uncertainty of surrealism. By using this method, architecture that hybridizes with surrealism takes an unpredictable and layered journey. In this article, this process is solved in three articulated steps. The first step of the study is titled as: “Leakage: Historical Clues’’ and discuss about the emergence of surrealism and its infiltration into architecture. In addition, it examines how flexible the limits of surrealism are. The next step is titled as: “Another “Dwelling”: “Settled” Trails in City and Space” and pursues the more established trails of surrealism in architecture. The third step of the study is titled as: “Reconciliation / Conflict’’ and an end to the bilateral alliance is attempted. This last, rather than pragmatic, but conflicting and continuous. Moreover, the third step aims at creating new intersections and an open-ended start.
