In this paper, the characters in Arslanhan Minaresi which consists of Uzbek author Gulam Kerimi‟s narratives are analyzed. The scope of the analysis is limited to historical characters such as Bumın Kağan, İstemi Yabgu, Mukan Kağan, Emîr Timur, Buharalı Müverrih EbûBekr Muhammed b. Ca‟fer en-Narşahî, Kaşgarlı Mahmut, Yusuf Has Hacip and Khan of Maveraünnehir Karahanlı Arslanhan Muhammed İbn Süleyman. This study is significant in that the characters are chosen from the historical figures. Before analysis of them, brief background information about these historical characters‟ actual identities is given. Additionally, such terminology which is used to analyze characters in narratives and novels as central person, typecasting and characters etc. are briefly explained. It is acknowledged that the characters are mostly narrated as idealized protagonists in the status of central characters in this narrative. In conclusion, the sense of reality in the construction of this essay is promoted since the characters are chosen from actual history and real historical events are cited occasionally.
