Fixing the image from the past to the present has always attracted the attention of mankind. In this direction, the camera was discovered and finally discovered. In the first years of his photography, he aimed to transfer only the truth to the image. It is soon recognized by artists that photography is not only the transfer of reality to the surface, but also the need to create its own practices. The artistic adventure of photography until today's art begins. On the other hand, the photograph can reach to a large number of people quickly, according to other works of art, and can be easily hand-drawn and handled and used as desired. In this way, Photography is at the center of the artistic production environments aimed at criticizing the political, cultural and societal periods that have emerged behind the periods of social crisis. Today, photography is one of the most frequently used tools in contemporary art thanks to the rapid progress it has made. With this development of digital technologies, this momentum has increased. In this research, dada, which is one of the important points of the photograph during this journey, the developments in relation to the surrealism movements, the photography perspective of modernism and the position of photography in contemporary art practices have been tried to be emphasized.
