In this study, the e ects of the advertisements on social media platforms are discussed. Social media advertisements have become very important today for companies to promote their products. Especial- ly in the last decade, it is known that the highest number of university students spend time in social media platforms which are included in our lives. This study focuses on the extent to which young people engaged in various activities on social media platforms are a ected by advertisements via platforms. In this study, the e ects of social media on university students were investigated during the survey, study and source search in the related eld. According to the results of the survey; social media has an important place in the life of students, and in the decision-making phase they consulted with social media.
