The migrations that took place for centuries emerge as an important problem along with the influence of globalization and the changing world dynamics at the present time. This problem usually arises due to sociological reasons, such as economic, security concerns, for countries. However, migration is a tragic event that will cause traumas in the lives of migrating individuals, especially individuals who are forced to migrate. This study aims to examine contemporary art practices within the concept of migration. In this study, migration and the migration phenomenon will be focused with the perspective of Guy Wouete's work "On the Way to Migration", Claudia Casarino’s art work "Uniform", Leila Alaoui's art work "No Transition" series, and Esra Ersen's, an artist from Turkey, art work "Passengers". When contemporary art pieces are examined from the perspective of migration, it is seen that the artists particularly emphasize the destructive effect of migration on individuals. On the other hand, these works focus on how the dynamics between the concepts such as being a foreigner, being a migrant and being a fugitive can be replaced, and the importance of developing empathy.
