1512208756 A STUDY ON INTERTEXTUAL READING IN TURKISH TEXTBOOKS

The text is a language product that arises from communication needing. The "intertextuality" theory, which was introduced by Kristeva in 1969, is based on the idea that no text can be independent of the previous texts itself and each text influences the text after itself. The purpose of this research is to determine intertextual relations in texts in Turkish textbooks and to present them as awareness in the intertextual reading process. The intertextual relation will set the ground for students to relate to the previous texts, so they will be ableto carry out a questioning reading. In this work, it is revealed how the intertextual relations can be established depending on the analysis of predetermined texts and presented to teachers as a suggestion. The study was conducted based on the qualitativere search, with the situation detection pattern and the texts in the 8th grade Turkish textbook of Dörtel Publications were taken as samples.
