Design is a concept which comprises all the activities of perception, sensation, thinking, criticism that the designer has as a result of observation and all the plans towards the motive. Design field is wide and it activates all disciplines from handicrafts to 3 dimensional objects. Textile art has become unique plate of art which nourishes from past and benefits from the unique and innovative with an attempt to find and use what is different than the contemporary. Thus the main objective of this research is to interpret with the modern approach and aesthetic appeal and to transform traditional çit weaving techniques into new and artistic textile forms. In this research which is prepared to draw readers attention to transfer of cultural heritage to future generations, aims to Show that çit weaving without changing its traditional techniques, motifs and colours may be regarded as a unique point of view in preparing artistic textile artifacts.
