Bursa province and its surroundings, where arouses interests of tourists by its topography, historical and cultural features, has an important role in promotion of Turkish culture. And Keles county, alongside its life style and houses, hand made dolls that reflects clothing culture has different features with regards to clothing and accessories.
With the improvement of tourism, hand made dolls that are made in this region are being a business to women on one hand, and on the other hand, being and instrument for promotion of the hand made dolls via tourism. In this context, for the reason that traditional Keles hand made doll’s reflectance of Turkish culture’s richness and it’s an importance as a constituent of our cultural heritage, necessity of the preservation of its production by continuing it is worth investigation.
In this article, importance of Keles hand made dolls, which are produced by the region’s women on the purpose of supporting their home expenses, in women entrepreneurship and in increasing awareness of it in cultural tourism filed will also be emphasized.
