In daily life, the concepts of consumption and especially “daily consumption”can not be thought independent from the concepts of popular and popular culture. Thanks to mass communication and internet, the elements and the consumption styles of popular culture and popular music diffuse into individuals' life and cafes offering live music service in the city centers are thought as the important social places of popular music consumption. In this context, different musical actors have important relationships with each other. In the city center of Isparta there are cafes, offering live music, the customers of which are mostly young university students and young population. It can be seen that main determinants of live music in these cafes have been the different needs and demands of customers, managers of cafes and musicians. The general aim of this study is to determine the main points of the sociological, economical and cultural functions of these cafes in musical life of Isparta.
