Painting has witnessed different periods, styles and approaches over the centuries. This diversity has encouraged artists to explore freedom of expression, push traditional boundaries and search for new ways. One of these pursuits is abstraction and experimental approaches. Abstraction aims to move away from realistic representations of objects and focus on an emotional, intellectual or aesthetic expression through abstract forms, colors and compositions, while experimental approaches aim to transcend traditional techniques and materials and explore new techniques, materials and processes.
In this article, the emergence and development of abstraction and experimental approaches in painting will be discussed in the first part, while the second part will evaluate abstraction and experimental approaches with examples from the works of painters. In the conclusion section, the reasons why artists prefer abstraction in the process of transformation in the art of painting and their search for expression through abstraction and experimental approaches and their effects on contemporary art will be analyzed.
