With the impact of the technological innovations brought by the 21st century on humanity, it is possible to see that innovative approaches have developed in every field in the world. Postmodernism, which emerged simultaneously in different disciplines of art, has led to the development of alternative approaches in plastic arts such as sculpture and ceramics, both in terms of expression and in the use of materials. When the search for original expression in art and the innovative perspective brought by the age come together, a space has been created for the formation of experimental approaches. While many artists who follow the timeless traditionalism and classical adaptations of ceramic art preserve the traditional expression and conventional appearance of ceramics in their works, many artists have chosen to add meaning to the material through experimental approaches and innovative aesthetics. Exploring some of these avant-garde ceramic artists and their vision, technique and expression forms the purpose of this compilation article. In the prepared compilation, evaluations about the creations and phenomena obtained with innovative materials and techniques in ceramic art were made by bringing together the artists and their works that developed in this field, and it was thought that it would contribute to the visibility of experimental approaches in addition to the traditional form in ceramic art.
