The works of Latife Tekin, one of the prominent female writers after 1980, are among the earliest ones of magical realism in Turkish literature. Together with folkloric issues, the writer dealing with majör problems such as poverty, slum life, demolition of nature, women problems in her novels published her novel of ‘Timeless’ in 2022. The book, introduced as a novel, has an experimental property in many ways that pass beyond being a novel. Poetic narration, the writer’s personal views, some dialogues between a mother and her baby throughout the book, and information about the writing process may prompt the work be considered a postmodern work. The work is interesting in its human-nature relation, demolition of nature, metafiction, magical realism, metamorphosis and poetic narration. The work, focused on the love affair between a weasel and eel, creates a relation regarding the problems existed between figures in the novel, and some other people included in the story. After, it is understood that weasel and eel are creatures which experience metamorphosis. This study investigates featured properties of Latife Tekin’s ‘Timeless’ novel.
