Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the three distinguished composers known as “Vienna Classics” and lived and produced his works during the transition years between Rokoko and Classic Periods. Considered as the most extra-ordinary prodigy of the music history, he spent his early years in the greatest palaces of Europe among noblemen, giving concerts for them. It is assumed that during these years, he might have felt himself equal to the aristocrats. When he grew up and became a professional composer he rejected the obligation of being a “court musician”. Therefore Mozart moved to Vienna and became the first “free-lance composer” of the history. He was influenced by the music styles and streams of his time and by his contemporaries. He blended these effects with his genuis which conceived great masterpieces. To enlighten these influences, explanations for his contemporary composers, music styles and streams have been made in this article. The social conditions which he was grown in and then after fought with were investigated. Therefore the upbringing proccess of an artist who is considered to have reached perfection with his works was closely researched. Beside his extraordinary talent and intensive hard work, attention was taken on the other facts -personal, environmental and social- which had great importance on W.A. Mozart.
