Some phenomena remain up to date although they are thousand years behind. These phenomena and different argument seeking need a new recurrence and explanation in case of an artistic ritual.
In the times when information about the production of the equipments and tools required was limited, the humankind who fought agains watertight nature, explained their actions and experiences via drawings and writings. The thoughts and event that were desired to be trasferred to the future generations turned into artistic actions. Phenomena provided existance in today’s people memory and was an important factor in maintaining its continuity. One of these phenomena the Noah’s Flood, spread from Mesopotamia to Nile River and has been featured in so many mythologies with literary and pictorial descriptions. The stories told vary slightly by region depending on the region.
There are pictorial depictions reviewed by the different cultures and beliefs that address the issue of Noah’s Flood. However it’s known that, analying through demonsration over the work of art is possible with considering the work in terms of the dimensions of art. To examine in this way the works dealing with Noah’s Flood which brought history to the present day and has a universal character, will be a current and aesthetical approach in interpreting the subject’s stylistic and content integrity.
